My fountain pen collection

Jinhao X159

  • Type: Converter
  • Price: £6
  • Nib: Fine

Feels very plasticky. Remember having some ink flow problems. You get what you pay for.

Wing Sung 629

  • Type: Piston fill
  • Price: £30
  • Nib: Fine

Sort of a rip-off of/homage to Montblanc Meisterstücks, except £30 instead of £300. Even line variation, easy to disassemble, very nice pen. Taken a few falls but still works like a champ.

Asvine V126

  • Type: Vacuum fill
  • Price: £28
  • Nib: Extra fine

Took a fall the day I got it, which might explain why it took a while for ink to start flowing, and why ink pools in the housing, but otherwise it's fine. Maybe a rip-off of Pilot Custom 823? Nice thing about the V126 is that you can buy fine and medium nibs online. Vacuum fill seemed neat but it can be a bit of a pain to refill compared to piston fillers and I usually only get half a fill in one go.

Jinhao 911

  • Type: Converter
  • Price: £10 for two
  • Nib: Extra fine

A much better Jinhao experience. Has a hooded nib which is cool, and works well given the price. Much thinner than the other pens but it has never really been a problem for me.
